Climate Resilient Infrastructure; it’s time PPPs change the way they Invest, Conceptualize and Build

The Roads, Rail, Bridges, Ports, Tunnels, Dams, and power plants built today must withstand not yesterday’s or todays climatic conditions. Instead they should be prepared for future climate conditions that are variable and certainly unpredictable. This presents a wide plethora of opportunities, not just for the nations who house these projects but, even for the decision makers and the entire AEC fraternity who design and develop infrastructure assets that can withstand climate changes.

Architects and structural engineers providing BIM and Sustainable infrastructural solutions make a huge difference in how climate resilient designs are mainstreamed into infrastructure projects.

Images of extreme weather, disastrous waves, floods and epic storms in print and electronic media, are now no more a shock to us, as we see them quite often now. These events are at an all-time high due to changing climate conditions and cause huge damages – putting the critical infrastructure at risk.
